Val Spies, Lotus Pond Yoga Studio owner and Yoga Teacher training director, has been leading workshops, travel tours, and training sessions for yoga groups and corporate enterprises for over 20 years, and offers expertise in tailoring programs to fit the needs of individual groups. When Val suffered a personal loss and was experiencing grief she discovered that there was a need for resources, a safe space to grieve, and a connection to a like experienced community.
Dr. Jean Mulloy, a Licensed Psychologist for over 20 years, specializes in grief therapy in her own private practice. Jean also experienced grief at a young age and since then she has developed her own daily practice of meditation and has seen how it helps it is to unlock potential. She finds it uplifting and rewarding to see people take charge of their lives and relationships–to feel the value and meaning of life under all kinds of conditions and circumstances.
Together, Val and Jean, realized that many people could benefit from a resource that provides practical coping skills and ways of helping through each person's unique grief journey. With their expertise, knowledge, and experiences; they have put together a loving and safe place for grief recovery, a true HeartSpace.
